Travel One Day Mt. Longonot/Naivasha - Code 10 Depart Nairobi early in the morning stop at the Rift
Valley View Point to see the wonders that makes it be called " The Great
Rift Valley". View the Loita Plains and then Proceed to the Mt. Longonot
for a walk and then continue to Lake Naivasha which is a fresh water lake
and the highest lake in the Rift Valley. You will have lunch at a convenient
point or time. (You can have a boat trip to the Crescent island which
is not included in the price - Thus, this is an optional arrangement).
Return to Nairobi in the late afternoon. Code E11 One-Day Hell's Gate Depart early morning and drive through the Rift Valley
(with lunch in Naivasha). Proceed to Hell's Gate National Park past Fischer's
tower. You will visit the Geothermal Plant and the Hot water Springs.
Have a chance to see some wildlife. Drive back to Nairobi arriving later
in the evening. Code E14: Day Trip To The Chimpanzees (CHIMPS) 0800: Drive North past Pineapple, Coffee, Banana plantations
and to one of the biggest open air markets in East Africa - Karatina.
Have a brief stop-over then proceed to Sweetwaters Game Reserve and Chimpanzee
sanctuary in time for lunch. After lunch, go game viewing and visit the
one square-Kilometer sanctuary that is the home to 26 orphaned Chimps
varying in age from 02 - 15 years. Most of these Chimps came from the
Jane Goodall Institute in Burundi where a great many were placed after
being rescued from a miserable existence. Return to Nairobi late evening.
Code 15: One Day Trip - Birth Place Of The Kikuyu Tribe - Muranga 0800 A.M. Depart and drive North passing
through by Chania Falls, Pineapple plantations, Papyrus Reeds growing
on the Road-side, Coffee plantations, Sisal plantations and a lot of Banana
trees, arriving in Muranga Town formerly Fort Hall - in time for lunch.
Afternoon proceed to sacred Kikuyu Tree at the original birth place -
called "The MUGUMU"- The Fig Tree - The place is known by local Kikuyu
dialect "Mukurwe-ini wa Nyagathanga". A small Museum and a guide will
explain you about the Kikuyu traditions and customs. Arrive back to Nairobi
late in the afternoon.
0800 - Depart - Drive North and onto Thika Town; visit
the Chania Falls before you proceed to 14 falls (Fourteen falls) via Pineapple
plantations. Relax by the falls having your lunch. Explore the Park in
the afternoon and have a rest at the picnic site before proceeding to
